You are awarded points for each matchup chosen correctly. Points are not deducted for any incorrect selections, and their values increase each round. Here is a scoring breakdown for each round of play:
- First Round: 1 point
- Second Round: 2 points
- Sweet 16: 4 points
- Elite 8: 8 points
- Final Four: 16 points
- Championship: 32 points

Pts Rem: Points you could earn based on the outcomes of the remaining games
What is an upset? In this case, it’s when any lower seeded teams beats a higher seeded team. You will receive extra points for correctly choosing upsets in the tournament. You will receive traditional points and an upset bonus based on the seed disparity. Here’s how it works:
Upset Bonus:
If you picked a 12 seed to beat a 5 seed in the first round you would get:
- 1 point for the first round matchup (traditional score)
- +7 upset bonus points (12 seed - 5 seed)
- For a total of 8 points

Pts Rem: Points you could earn based on the outcomes of the remaining games
Players have the option to submit a predicted score or "Tiebreaker" for the championship matchup during the picks experience. This prediction will only be used for tiebreaker purposes within groups, not the overall leaderboard. If no predicted score is submitted for an entry, it is given a default prediction of 0-0 (zero points).
